- Making this Your Ministry
This intense, comprehensive 4-week course blends self-study using our online course materials with weekly live virtual Q & A sessions. Plan to spend 2-3 hours studying for each topic. Students must pass the final exam and complete multiple quizzes and assignments in order to complete the course and earn their Christian Childbirth Educator Certification. For those interested in also getting their Christian Doula Certification, they must provide documentation of attendance at 3 births (which may be done after course completion).
The Christian Childbirth Educator and Doula Certification course is one of the prerequisites for the Midwifery Ministry Program.
“This training truly built the groundwork for us to teach childbirth classes, help develop birth plans, perform labor assistance through emotional and spiritual support, and guide or educate mothers to make informed choices.” – Seikosha
“I think every woman should do this course to become more in touch with her own body.” – Carol
A Message from the Director, Patti Barnes, CPM…
The Childbirth Educator and Doula Certification curriculum is designed to educate and train women to educate and prepare expectant mothers for childbirth. This field has proven to be an open door to share the gospel and the last-day message to expectant parents. It also is in harmony with the instructions given through the pen of inspiration. “The Bible speaks of women at childbirth being attended by women, and thus it ought always to be. Women should be educated and trained to act skillfully as midwives and physicians to their sex. This is the Lord’s plan.” The General Conference Bulletin, June 4, 1909.
